Wndsn MOA Converter
Instrument: Wndsn Grouping-to-MOA Converter
From shot groupings to MOA in one piece-of string operation with the Wndsn MOA Converter.
With the Wndsn Grouping-to-MOA Converter (GMC), a tool for training and practice, we can take the guesswork out of calculating shot grouping MOA and eliminate mental calculation errors. We simply enter the shot grouping and range distance and read the resulting MOA by aligning the provided string across the scales.
Example
We use the MOA vonverter to both measure the diameter of the group and calculate the MOA (Figure 1).
- The distance between the bullet holes is 4.7 cm.
- We set this value on the left scale.
- The length of the shooting range is 75 yd (or 68 m).
- On the medium scale we read about 2.5 MOA for the group.
Scales
The Grouping-to-MOA converter provides two scales on the front and on the back of the device respectively; use the appropriate side depending on the distance of your range. The front is suited from 0 to 100 yards and the back set of scales is suited for 100 to 600 yards (or meters, respectively).
Units
Note that you can measure the shot grouping in cm or inches on the left-hand scales and on the right-hand scales you can use yd or m for the shot distance. You will always read the correctly resulting MOA on the center scale.
Accuracy
Accuracy is determined by the reading of the scale and approximation of the corresponding mark.
